Anton Chekhov
THE CHERRY ORCHARD
Comedy in 3 acts

Subject of outgoing beauty sounds already in the title song.
"The Cherry Orchard" does not bring income, he keeps in his blossoming whiteness poetry former aristocratic life "- wrote K.S. Stanislavsky. In various theaters of the world, "The Cherry Orchard" treated differently "funeral of outdated past" in the person of "blunderers" or, on the contrary, his idealization, the announcement of new ideals in the person of Anya and Trofimov ... Our performance in the first place, about the beauty: anxious, vulnerable, naive, elusive. Such is Lyubov Ranevskaya. She appears as a impressive, not local woman bird, riveting the attention of the tall, slender figure, flexibility and plasticity of movements, special "strange" intonations.

Spreading the curtain, and the audience from the first minutes immersed in the atmosphere of poetry, exquisite beauty, subtle humor and elegiac melancholy. Chekhov's characters: Ranevskaya, Gaev, Anna and others, they may be weak, but not vulgar. The existence of a boring, tasteless, ugly kills them. The main thing for Ranevskaya is not what it could be ruined, but that beauty are threatened with destruction. Therefore, it is a desperate Lopakhin’s attempt to explain to owners of garden that it’s necessary to cut down and destroy the garden land for garden plots. For them, such a solution is not acceptable, for them it’s "the vulgarity." What awaits Ranevskaya and Gayev in the future? What will happen with Varya, Petya, Charlotte? Questions remain unanswered, but the characters are leaving the estate in no remorse. And in the locked house remains true Firs: the keeper of the secrets, stories and facts of the biography of the owners. Death of Beauty, Garden, Noble Nest is directly related to the death of Firs.

And our performance, certainly, is about love: the love emerging and gone, happy and unrequited, but that same love, in the name of which we all live.
